Supply chain management concurrent planning provider Kinaxis announced this week a working alliance agreement with Genpact, a global professional services firm focusing on business transformation. This alliance stems from a prior alliance with a specialized supply chain planning boutique services firm highly grounded in Kinaxis implementation services.
In late July, Supply Chain Matters updated our readers on the announcement that supply chain management boutique consulting firm Barkawi Management Consultants was acquired by global-based consulting firm Genpact. Barkawi is considered a supply chain management specialist consulting firm, with technology implementation services in areas such as sales and operations planning, broad elements of supply chain planning and in supporting variations of supply chain control tower capabilities. The firm was servicing both large and small enterprises and listed customers include names such as Applied Materials, BASF, Ford Motor, General Motors, ON Semiconductor, Micron Technology, among others, many of which were assisted with Kinaxis technology related implementations.
This week’s announcement cements a broader relationship with new Barkawi parent Genpact adding broader aspects of business focused digital transformation that often extends beyond supply chain response planning in areas such as Omni-channel customer fulfillment or product services. The announcement further broadens Kinaxis’s expanding relationships with globally based consulting and systems integration firms that include Accenture, Bain and Company, Deloitte, Tata Consultancy Services, among others.
