Mid-market focused ERP software technology provider Epicor today announced the acquisition of Elite EXTRA, a provider of Cloud-based last-mile delivery support.
According to the announcement, this acquisition will complement and strengthen Epicor’s abilities to optimize last mile logistics across this provider’s supported vertical industries. It further expands the ERP software provider’s ability to support customers across make, move, sell and deliver business process and decision-making dimensions.
Founded in 1996, Eau Claire, Wisconsin based  Elite EXTRA provides consulting services, software development, and geographic information systems (GIS) to clients globally. The company’s flagship product, Elite EXTRA Routing & Dispatch, has reportedly been streamlining logistics operations for 325,000+ users worldwide since 2008. Focused supported industries are noted as Retail, Automotive, Courier, Heavy Truck, Electrical Supply and other services industries.
The tech provider’s technology is reportedly built on a service-oriented architecture allowing it to scale and integrate with ERP, POS and eCommerce systems.
The Elite EXTRA suite is reportedly already integrated with Epicor Vision, the ERP software provider’s automotive parts distribution management platform. The outlined plan is to integrate this technology with other Epicor Cloud-based industry focused applications.
