Professional Experience Bob Ferrari is the Managing Director of the Ferrari Consulting and Research Group as well as the Founder, and Executive Editor of the very popular and well-read Internet blog, Supply Chain Matters. Bob has served as Practice Director of Supply Chain Strategies at Manufacturing Insights, an industry analyst research company affiliated with top-tier analyst firm IDC, as well as Research Director, AMR Research, (now affiliated with Gartner, Inc.) where he provided leading edge research and insights for the Supply Chain, Procurement, and Enterprise Management Applications practices.
Bob also served in roles as Vice President of Marketing and Business Strategy, and Global Director of Supply Chain Product Marketing for small and very large scale supply chain management focused technology providers.
Bob’s functional supply chain experience spans over 30 years of supply chain business, planning, operations, customer service and systems implementation assignments within the high-technology and other multi-industry environments.
Professional Affiliations Bob is a longstanding member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), with a prior role as Vice President for Business Development for the New England Roundtable Chapter of CSCMP. He was chosen by the Association of Operations Management (APICS) to be a member of the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Exam Review Committee for three years. Bob served as a board member of the North American Leadership Team for the Supply-Chain Council, Inc. (now part of APICS), founders of the Supply Chain Operations Reference Model (SCOR). Bob has also served as a previous board member for the MIT Forum for Supply Chain Innovation.
Bob holds an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
